Tie One On: Breast Cancer Awareness

The Tie One On Breast cancer awareness party I attended last night was quite a hit! There were close to 120 people that were in attendance. Multiple businesses from around the city of Sarasota contributed close to 20,000 dollars worth of gifts and services for the participants of the raffle and auction that took place. The pinnacle of the gifts were a 6 thousand dollar pink golf cart named "Hope" and multiple pieces of fine jewelry. L boutique put on quite a show, showcasing all their finest pink inspired clothing, strutting down a makeshift catwalk that opened up to the balcony of owners Frank and Bambi Kaine. The raffle and auction brought in amazing results for the Breast Cancer Awareness Fund. Everyone had a great time, food and drinks flowed through the night until 10 p.m. All-in-all it was a great time for a great cause. It is always extremely gratifying to share in events like this, being that breast cancer and cancer in general has severely affected my family in the past few decades.

  1. Looks like a great time. And as this is NBCAM, thought I’d pass along an easy way to help raise awareness: check out these 30 sec breast cancer related videos -- http://www.ahamoment.com/pg/voting?moment=pmbbmea -- and click to vote for one or all. The top vote getters in the contest will be aha moment TV commercials next year. And more media exposure for the cause would be a very good thing.

    Thx,
